Goodbye Sydney... Hello World!

So on Thursday I said goodbyes to all my nearest and dearest... why are goodbyes so hard? But I'm hoping these goodbyes will turn into hellos... to new cultures, ways of living, food, people and a once in a lifetime adventure as I embark on a three month journey of Europe!

First stop a layover in Singapore. The flight to Singapore was a bumpie one - but let's be honest - who really likes flying? I stayed at Mount Emily in Little India, Singapore. Little India is an ethnic neighbourhood that has Tamil cultural elements - which I found out are an ethnic group - native to India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, a very unique mix! It was rich with culture, aromatic spices and unique root vegetables. Overall on arrival in Singapore anyone will note it is the cleanest and greenest city you will have see! So much effort has been put into the city's planning! In fact all new and any renovated buildings must now have rooftop and vertical gardens! All Singaporeans are very proud of their city and its world leading design features and this is evident from any taxi to hospitality worker you talk to. I'm looking forward to exploring what the city has to offer!

'Open your eyes and explore the world around you as people often walk with their eyes closed!'
